Obama: Human Rights for Terrorists... not Babies

President Obama signed two notable executive orders during the first days of his administration.

One rescinded the "Mexico City Policy" that President Reagan initiated, prohibiting taxpayer money from being used to fund abortions overseas. The second ordered the closing of Guantanamo's infamous prison, where hundreds of terrorist suspects have been detained for years and, in many cases, tortured to try to extract information from them.

President Obama's actions typify the sometimes mind-boggling moral hypocrisy espoused by the radical Left. The Left will vigorously fight for the human rights of people who want to annihilate America, yet deny the basic right to life to our most helpless citizens.

Not only does the Left want to preserve the American "right" to torture little babies in their mothers' wombs by eviscerating them limb-from-limb, which is a common method of abortion, but they want to export this "right" to other countries and force all Americans to pay for it.

Much of the brouhaha surrounding Guantanamo was over the definition of torture. Did water-boarding or other rough interrogating techniques constitute torture? The radical Left was very quick to draw the lines in favor of the detainees. They did not shy away and refuse to get involved by leaving the debate of "when torture begins" to the "doctors" at Guantanamo.

I agree that torture can be a difficult definition to pin down--especially when many liberals believe spanking a child is "torture." But the definition of life is very easy. It's a scientific fact. The only substantial difference between a fertilized human ovum and Barack Obama is size, appearance, and age. Genetically speaking, they are both human beings. There is no scientific dispute on that score.

In virtually every community in America, there are monuments of remembrance for our veterans, particularly those who died in America's wars. I predict within 40 years, there are going to be monuments all over the country commemorating the unborn children who died in one of America's greatest and longest wars-- the war to end child sacrifice. In the world's pagan past, children were sometimes sacrificed by being burned alive to appease an angry god. Today, we sacrifice them to appease our own desires or fears.

In a time of moral crisis, when our economy is imploding and fear spreading, it is very sad that President Obama has decided to export the worst values in America to the suffering throughout the world. Change has certainly come to America.
