Iran Severs Protesters' Communication Lines

The cries of Iranian protesters that could be heard just days ago in the world's computers and cell phones have gone silent.
Iran's government is catching up technologically to the protesters, who garnered worldwide attention by publicizing the government's brutal crackdown with their cell phones, Facebook, and Twitter.
The young people that form the resistance movement are increasingly scared to communicate as bloggers are reported to have been tracked down and beaten or arrested by security forces. An anonymous message warns them that texting, which had been shut down since a day before the disputed election, is restored, but is monitored. Cell phone service is still inconsistent and it's impossible to send and receive pictures or video. They also are tapped or outright jammed.
Government agents have also reportedly infiltrated opposition groups to spread misinformation and seek the whereabouts of the leaders.
