Iran Accuses CIA of Funding Opposition

Iran's Interior Minister Sadeq Mahsouli is accusing the CIA of funding the opposition movement.

"Britain, America and the Zionist regime (Israel) were behind the recent unrest in Tehran."

"Many of the rioters were in contact with America, CIA and the MKO and are being fed by their financial resources."

The opposition movement is gaining support within Iran's security apparatus and amongst high-ranking clerics. If we are, in fact, providing resources that can help undermine this fraudulent government and play a role in the removal of "President" Ahmadinejad, it's money well spent.

 I couldn't agree more with

I couldn't agree more with your last sentence, but I don't think the unrest in Iran is being fueled by anything other than the desire of its people to head in a different direction than the current government is headed.  Iran's economy is in worse shape than ours, its demographic is largely under 50 and educated.  They simply cannot be led down the path of ignorance the way Ahmadinejad would like.

The flickering flame of freedom cannot be denied to those who truly want it.  CIA or no CIA.
