Hot Air to Invade Sioux Falls
By Bob Ellis | 06/11/09 | 09:09 AM EDT | 0 Comments
Democrats are on the march in congress, with plans to gouge you for more taxes in their cap-and-trade global warming tax scheme.
Public utilities commissioners and other officials around the country estimate this global warming tax will increase your electric bill by 40% or more. Experts estimate this tax scheme will cost thousands of jobs, while only lowering the global temperature (maybe) by 9/100ths of a degree in the next 40 years.
But do not fear; you have allies, and they are coming to help you speak out against this assault on the property rights and prosperity of Americans.
From an update from Americans for Prosperity:
Right now in Washington, President Obama and Speaker Pelosi are pushing a Cap and Trade scheme that raises taxes on your gasoline, raise taxes on your home heating and cooling and kills jobs by the thousands with government rationing of our energy -- all in the name of Al Gore's Global Warming alarmism.
You can fight back -- just like we did with Tea Parties. Bring your family out to Americans for Prosperity’s Hot Air Tour Wednesday, June 24th in Sioux Falls as we urge senator Johnson to VOTE NO to the current Cap and Trade Scheme. We'll have free food and free rides on a giant 70-foot-tall hot Air balloon (weather permitting).
Sioux Falls, South Dakota
8:30am – 10:00am -- Wednesday, June 24th
