Announced candidates for mayor of Atlanta this year are City Council President Lisa Borders, City Councilwoman Mary Norwood and State Sen. Kasim Reed. Is that it? Same old same old.

Announced Republican candidates for governor next year are Congressman Nathan Deal, Secretary of Sate Karen Handel, Senate President Pro Tempore Eric Johnson, Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine; states rights advocate Ray McBerry and State Rep. Austin Scott. Is that it? Can't we do any better?

Announced Democratic candidates for governor next year are Attorney General Thurbet Baker, former Governor Roy Barnes, House Minority LeaderDuBose Porter and former Commander of the Georgia National Guard, David Poythress. That's it.  And no, they can't do any better.
