I recieved a piece of mail from Councilman Brian Maienschein today in the race for City Attorney. Well done I'd say. On front is a clip from the UT going after Aguirre. Inside "Experience. Ethics. Leadership." with some of his campaign talking points. The picture on the inside is a bit odd -- I cant figure out why he is wearing a judicial robe. In San Diego City's District 5 there were at least two polls over the last few days. One tested several negatives on Democrat candidate George George, one several, which is odd (thank you readers for sending me both, or at least what you say is both). It's hard to believe but the clowns on the San Diego City Council actually voted themselves a pay increase. I just got an email from the Catfish Club 7th San Diego City Council debate - looks like Marti Emerald is a "No Show" after having confirmed. ITEM 1: I hear 1rst Council District candidate Marshall Merrifield has signs pasted up all over parts of his district. Does anyone else hate these signs (not yours in particular, Marshall, but all political signs) as much as I do? Driving around today I saw some yard signs for candidate Marshall Merrifield starting to appear. I also saw some door hangers hanging in the same community that I assume were his. Does anyone know if this is the case, or have a copy we can see? read more »
