HIKIND TO LEAD MISSION TO JUDEA AND SAMARIA

“NO JEWS ALLOWED.” “JEWS NOT WELCOME.” Berlin, Germany, 1938? Selma, Alabama, 1958? Think again. How about Jerusalem, 2010? Think it can’t happen? Think again. If the current U.S. administration has its way, we may very well see these signs in the not so distant future.

Dear Friend,

I am writing to you about a mission I am planning that may well change the landscape of the Jewish homeland. I know how close Israel is to your heart, and how difficult it is to hear of the extreme pressure the Israeli government is facing to make concessions.

I always had reservations regarding Barack Obama’s attitude toward Israel. While I did not support his candidacy, almost 75% of Jewish voters did. With his charm and charisma flowing, he stepped back from his earlier policies and won over the hearts of Jewish constituents with his promise of his solid, unwavering commitment to the State of Israel. Where is that commitment now? The Obama administration is now taking a more assertive and dramatic approach to its long-time ally. Israel is being pushed hard into making difficult decisions and concessions.

At this pivotal moment in Israeli history, we must do all that is in our power to ensure the strength and security of the Jewish state. We have an important task before us: to show our support for the 300,000 Jews living in Yehuda and Shomron, as well as the 300,000 Jews living in so-called East Jerusalem. Our goal is to send a message to Washington that Jews have the right to live in any part of Eretz Yisroel. More importantly, it will give chizuk to our brethren in Jerusalem, Yehuda and Shomron.

How can a young family in Ariel be told that they cannot add an extra bedroom to the home they have lived in for 12 years? How can Jews be told that they will no longer be entitled to build a single home in the Jewish sections of Jerusalem and even adjacent areas like Ma’aleh Adumin? We must not remain silent!

Beginning Saturday evening, November 14th and returning November 18th, we will spend four days and three nights in Yehuda, Shomron and Jerusalem. Meeting intriguing speakers, government officials and visiting fascinating places, the mission promises to be memorable.

I hope that this will be the first of many missions. The cost of the trip is $1350, all inclusive. As you can imagine, there are many expenses related to this mission. We need your support to make it successful. If you would like to join us or require further information, please contact Dov Cohen at my office at:1-718-853-9616. If you cannot participate but would like to contribute, checks should be made out to: United Jerusalem 48. I look forward to sharing this momentous experience with you.

Assemblyman Dov Hikind is proud to announce a chizuk mission to Israel, November 14-18, 2009.

Show support for the 300,000 Jews living in Yehuda & Shomron as well as the 300,000 Jews living in so-called East Jerusalem. Help give chizuk to our brethren and send a message to Washington that Jews have the right to live in any part of Eretz Yisroel.

Spend two days touring threatened communities in Yehuda and Shomron including: Itamar, Har Bracha, Alon Moreh, Yithar, Kedumim, Shilo, Beit El, Gush Etzion and others. Spend the final day in Jerusalem and the surrounding.

We will begin our trip from JFK on November 14th, arriving at Ben Gurion, Israel at approximately 5 PM, November 15th. From there we will travel to our hotel in Ariel, which will be our base for the first two days. Our final night and day will be in Jerusalem, where we will spend the day touring the old city and the surrounding areas with Ateret Cohanim.

The cost of the trip is $1,350 all inclusive, and promises to be an extraordinary, memorable experience. This low price includes airfare, hotels, meals, tour busing, etc. Help ensure the strength and security of the Jewish State.
