The question I hear too often about Fundamentalist Islam is – What can we do to make the Islamists love us? Or if not love us, just leave us alone and make all the violence go away.   First, we must determine what the Islamists don’t like about the USA and all its citizenry.

Modern day Islam believes they must turn back the tide of Western influence in Muslim lands and spread Islam to the four corners of the earth. Islamists believe they must stop the heathens and infidels or non-Muslims in their steady march of influence around the world and their personal assault on Islam. Islam despises our liberation of women, our man made laws, our acceptance of alternative lifestyles, our television, our plays, our freedom for ALL religions, our social weaknesses, our capitalism, our pornography, our godlessness, Israel as our ally, our legal system, our dress, our immodesty, American Idol and 24, consuming pork products, all of our financial markets, our loans with interest, our gambling, our sports, women’s beach volleyball, our beer and liquor, our religious freedoms,  easy divorce, monogamy, our government of the people-by the people-and for the people, our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, dogs as pets,  and our first amendment right to FREE SPEECH. I’ve only touched on some of those things that make us uniquely American, faults and all. Now if you think the problem with Islam is YOU and the USA then we have an awful lot of accommodations to make in order for there to be peace, love, and non-violence with our Muslim neighbors, both foreign and domestic. Will the Islamists in America be happy with the few cultural accommodations they have already demanded and won? For example, Muslim prayer rooms in public schools, shopping malls, and businesses, foot washing stations in taxpayer funded buildings, Sharia Finance in government owned companies (AIG), and special Muslim exemptions for Muslim clothing in the workplace. Are these accommodations enough? The answer is NO because all roads lead to the USA Supreme Court submitting to a dual legal system comprising Sharia/Islamic law and our current Judicial system. England has already adopted this dual Sharia legal system that is being actively practiced today. The Muslim Student Association (MSA) of America and Canada was reported on April 16, 2007 as having a “Muslim Accommodation Task Force”. The MSA's mission is to enable Muslims here (U.S. and Canada) "to practice Islam as a complete way of life," and its "main goal" is "spreading Islam," according to its website. And that is coming from the young idealist westernized Muslim youth – our next generation of pseudo-moderate Muslims.   Do we in turn legally demand the Islamists in America make accommodations to us and assimilate? The answer is no on all accounts – all we Americans ask is that Muslims, or any other minority for that matter, obey our man made laws over all others. If any person has a problem obeying our laws, for whatever reason, and in turn tries to undermine the authority of our government, then that person should be arrested then deported. Muslims in America must respect and follow our man made laws over all others in matters of the State – what you do in the privacy of your homes is your own business. My call to ALL Muslims, observe and embrace your Islamic culture but don’t demand America change its culture and laws to become more Islamic.  Any appeasement by our local and state governments to placate accommodations demanded by the Islamist community is not viewed as an enlightened progressive policy by the Muslims. It is viewed by the Muslim community as American weakness and arrogance. Each accommodation granted by the U.S. Courts to Muslims, are viewed by the Islamists as a small victory paving the way for one Islamic accommodation after another with no end in site.  

The next big accommodation the American Islamists want is for any speech perceived by Muslims as making them angry or not flattering to Islam should be legally suppressed and the offender arrested on hate speech charges.   What a convenient way for the Islamists to use our secular legal system to stop free speech and silence its detractors.
