Gwen Ifill: They're After Me Because I'm Black

Pa-thetic.
Even as she dismisses criticism that her "Age of Obama" book-deal should disqualify her from moderating the Veep debate by Gwen Ifill by pointing to her "long track record," Ifill can't resist going victim and playing the "It's because I'm black!" card:
If that's no a conflict-of-interest, what is?
Even as she dismisses criticism that her "Age of Obama" book-deal should disqualify her from moderating the Veep debate by Gwen Ifill by pointing to her "long track record," Ifill can't resist going victim and playing the "It's because I'm black!" card:
Ifill questions why people assume that her book will be favorable toward Obama.Of course, the Cannon analogy is ludicrous. Cannon wrote his book after President Reagan left office. Ifill's "Age of Obama" book is scheduled to publish on Inauguration Day and sales will be enormously higher if Obama wins. In other words, an Obama victory would personally enrich Ifill, who is in a position as Veep debate moderator too impact the election.
"Do you think they made the same assumptions about Lou Cannon (who is white) when he wrote his book about Reagan?" said Ifill, who is black. Asked if there were racial motives at play, she said, "I don't know what it is. I find it curious."
If that's no a conflict-of-interest, what is?
