Is Ford Next?

As the only remaining independent carmaker, Ford will find itself between the proverbial “Rock and a Hard Place”.

Simply stated, Obama cannot permit them to continue to exist as a free and independent company because the two other automakers, owned and run by the Federal Government, would not be able to successfully compete with them.

For one thing, I have no doubt that the American People, given their choice, will quietly vote with their dollars to support the free enterprise system. Long time loyalists to the various GM and Chrysler product lines will simply switch to Ford products as the most effective means of protest.

Perhaps the Department of Homeland Security will react by adding Ford owners to their list of domestic terrorists?

The nature of government itself is another major problem. While Ford will be doing its best to produce cars that the American people will be happy to own and drive, the government owned automakers will be producing “Politically Correct” cars, that no one except the most dedicated liberals will want to drive. Typically, they will produce small underpowered cars that will fold up in a collision. The personal safety of the occupants will be sacrificed on the altar of Global Warming.

Of course, Obama will be able to muddy the waters a bit by simply freezing Ford out of any bidding on cars purchased by the Federal Government, and he will make every effort to extend this ban to State and Local Governments. I don’t know exactly to what extent the various automakers produce vehicles for the military, but you can bet that Ford will be shut out of that too. Would that be legal? Probably not, but legality is of little concern to Gangster Government.

Based on past performance, the Obamanabiles will do whatever is necessary to avoid a situation where Ford is progressing towards profitability while the taxpayers continue to pour billions of dollars into GM and Chrysler. Shutting down GM and Chrysler is not an option, because that would be a disaster for the UAW. After Obama rewarded the union for its support of him by simply giving it part ownership of the two companies, he has no choice but to continue pouring in tax dollars to support the union members, which is what this whole fiasco is all about anyway.

We must also realize that the UAW can, and possibly will, continue to earn Obama’s tax giveaway by simply going on strike at Ford. That would be exactly the game changer that the Administration needs. Americans can’t buy Ford products if Ford is unable to produce them.

No matter how you look at it, I am very much afraid that the fix is in, so say farewell to Ford. The only thing left is to figure out a way to blame the whole thing on George Bush.

Is Ford Next

Without government control and inteference, Ford should do well in the future.  I would bet my money on them over Government Motors and Chrysler run by Obama's bunch of morons.
