Okay, you will need to put on your conspiracy hat for this post.  There are some amazing coincidences that have made me go, hmmmmmmm?

According to this newspaper clipping and verbal testimony in the 1948 Un-American Activities in Washington State, the Communist Party's Seattle headquarters was located at 1916 Second Ave, near Stewart Street. According to this Chicago Tribune article from 2007, Obama's grandfather, Stanley Dunham, moved his family two thousand miles to work for a furniture store at the corner of Second Avenue and Pine Street, one block away from the Communist Party headquarters. 

While in Seattle, Stanley Dunham enrolled his daughter in the Mercer Island highschool which had at least two Communist leaning teachers and one boardmember who was also a confessed  member of the Communist Party, helping to earn the nicknamed school wing, Anarchy alley.

While in Seattle, the Dunham family began attending a church known locally as "the little Red church". In the same Chicago Tribune article:

Madelyn and Stanley shed their Methodist and Baptist upbringing and began attending Sunday services at the East Shore Unitarian Church in nearby Bellevue.

"In the 1950s, this was sometimes known as 'the little Red church on the hill,' " said Peter Luton, the church's senior minister, referring to the effects of McCarthyism. Skepticism, the kind that Stanley embraced and passed on to his daughter, was welcomed here.

Suddenly, the Dunhams move to Hawaii.

Seemingly out of the blue, her father had found a better opportunity -- another furniture store, this one in Hawaii.

At some point after arriving in Hawaii, the Dunham's befriended another Marxist, Frank Marshall Davis.
