Well the Democrats passed that mess of a health plan bill tonight. All the Democrats lined up and one RINO Republican who may be looking for a new job next election. 

Those “BRAVE conservative” Blue Dog Dems who were contemplating for months how they would vote because the bill was not popular in their districts lined up like little sheep and voted for it because they got some vague guarantee that abortion will not be covered. The government still funds Planned Parenthood and therefore will pay for abortions. Those Blue Dogs and that one misguided Republican voted for a bill that will destroy the health system. They really believed Pelosi that it will cover 96% of all Americans, and of course illegal aliens, with the same coverage that they have now. They say the government rates will be higher than private rates but they forgot that the government can place regulations on the private plans that can drive up their cost beyond the price of the government plan. When costs increase, private plans must raise rates to stay in business but the government just increases taxes. With high rates how can people who can’t afford insurance afford the government plan? That’s easy, we subsidize their premiums and the public pays for the coverage. At what level of income do we consider subsidization necessary? How do we tell if the person or family receiving the subsidization is an American Citizen or an illegal alien?  I don’t think they figured these things out yet and they are not going to even try. 

This mess of thrown together rules of 1,300 pages is an example of a government gone wild. The congress in its wisdom or lack of, did not address tort reform, state regulations or helping to increase the number of doctors. I am sure that we are going to get health care for free because God in his wisdom will send money down from heaven just like manna in the bible or will we just continue to print it at the Federal Reserve. Oh, you don’t believe that will happen; well the democrats will substitute your increased taxes for the manna. They will punish the corporations that don’t cover their employees and this is just what the recessive economy really needs.  If the cost of doing business goes up, the company either raises prices or lays off workers or both. Either way you pay the tab for congresses lack of economic knowledge and pure stupidity. People who don’t want health care coverage will be forced to buy it or pay a penalty. Let’s not call it a tax because Obama isn’t going to increase taxes on the middle class. I have heard the argument that you are forced to buy car insurance. That is true but I have the option not to own a car; I do not have the option not own my body. Thank you comrades but big brother knows what’s best for you.

The bill has yet to go before the Senate where that brilliant mind of our time Senator Harry “everyone will vote for it” Reid will try to sell it to his Blue Dogs. Hopefully the Republicans will filibuster the bill and find some Democrats with some common sense and backbone. After all Reid is not as frightening as Pelosi and heaven knows she frightens the daylights out of most Americans. All these congressman and senators have to go home to face their constituents and if they think the race in New York was just an anomaly they had better think again or start looking in the help wanted ads for a job in 2010. It is time that the American people woke up and realized that you don’t get something for nothing. You are going to pay heavily for a bill like this and once you get it, it is like a tumor that is inoperable and just continues to grow. Look closely at which representatives and senators are voting yes on the health care bill as they are spending money that does not exist and on a socialized medicine program that will become a bureaucratic nightmare.   

If this article sounds angry that is because I am. This is the camel’s nose under the tent on our way to a socialistic society and government control. The bureaucrats who vote for this bill should be voted out of office and replaced with fiscally responsible people.
