CRA vs. NRSC...National Senatorial Committee's shameless endorsement of Crist over Rubio.

Conservative Republican Alliance (CRA) Statement On The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) Endorsement Of Governor Crist

It's quite obvious that in order to gain the endorsement of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), your stance on policies or issues is of little consequence.

It is purely about whom they want to be admitted to their "club"- whatever those specious and arbitrary reasons are, we'd sure like to know.

The NRSC mission tagline is right on their website - "Curb Spending - Create Jobs - Lower Taxes - Control the Debt".

Why would the NRSC instantaneously endorse a candidate that has royally failed on two of those four precepts?

In case the NRSC forgot, it was Governor Crist that openly supported the Obama "stimulus" plan, and gave the plan political cover here in Florida- while a near majority of Republicans in Congress opposed this critical spending bill.

Why does the NRSC issue an endorsement without even waiting to find out where the respective candidates stand on the issues?

The NRSC is an organization that doesn't even attempt to live up to its own mission statement, and is therefore a compromised organization that can't be trusted, and should not be donated to until they live up to their own principles that they claim to espouse.

When you support unprincipled politicians like Governor Crist, you wind up with embarrassing episodes like this. Is the NRSC now implicitly endorsing Obama’s Stimulus Plan?

CRIST: THE WORST POSSIBLE CANDIDATE - FLORIDA'S ARLEN SPECTER

- Wrong on the Stimulus - "I'd have voted for stimulus bill.” He would have joined Arlene Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania and Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins of Maine.

- Wrong on Shamnesty - "I like Sen. Martinez' and Sen. McCain's approach.... I thought they had the right idea and maybe just a little more support up there would help it get it done.”

I see that you folded after lunch with BREC! That's a shame. This shoudn't be just about electing Republicans but about electing conservative ones! The more we move to the center, the more we lose.
