Anaheim, CA – Anaheim Commissioner Kris Murray officially filed today for Anaheim City Council on the November 2, 2010 ballot. Murray was at the City Clerk’s office first thing this morning submit the nomination paperwork, with signatures representing Anaheim residents from every major neighborhood.
Kris Murray has more than 20 years experience working on behalf of families, taxpayers, and businesses. Murray has an extensive background working for private industry and public agencies to create local jobs, ease traffic congestion, and improve education.
“I am thrilled to be running to represent and serve the residents of Anaheim,” said Kris Murray. “Anaheim is known for being a world-class family destination. As a member of the City Council, I will work to ensure our city remains a great place to live and raise families."
Murray is backed by the largest coalition of community leaders, as well as state and federal officials in this race. At this time, she is the only candidate endorsed by Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle.

I, for one, am wholeheartedly supporting Kris. There are several stand-out individuals running for city council seats in Orange County this year, and Kris is one of them. She is smart, conservative, principled and experienced in both the business sector and government. She will make an outstanding member of the Anaheim City Council.

...Oh Nameless One. Curt has been an outstanding Mayor of Anaheim, and poll after poll confirms that. He has very high positive name ID in Anaheim, and if he were on the ballot again, he would be overwhelmingly re-elected.
Kris is and ought to be proud to have Curt's endorsement.

I am conflicted. Kris is a friend, my family signed her nomination papers, but nameless is right, Curt has not backed a winner since he helped put Galloway on the Council, and look at how that turned out.
