On September 11, 2011, blacks from the West Coast and the East Coast joined together and signed one of the most comprehensive legal briefs ever prepared on racial discrimination, then filed their brief September 12th, at 9:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time in US District Court in Seattle (Case No. C11 - 1503). The plaintiffs, who refer to the defendants as "Father of Racism," allege that as an organization, the Democratic Party has consistently refused to apologize for the role they played in slavery and Jim Crow laws and for other subsequent racist practices from 1792 to 2011. Rev. Wayne Perryman, a former Democrat himself and the lead plaintiff in this class action lawsuit, said he was inspired to file this action after seeing the recent movie The Help. The movie takes place in the region that was exclusively controlled by Democrats for more than 150 years (the South). Mrs. Frances P. Rice, the Chair of the National Black Republican Association is also a plaintiff in the lawsuit. Mrs. Rice is a resident of Sarasota, Florida and has lived in the the South most of her life.
The case cites the collective work of over 350 legal scholars and includes Congressional records, case law, research from our nation's top history professors, racist statements from Democratic elected officials, citations from the Democrat's National Platforms regarding their support of slavery, excepts of speeches from Senator Obama, individual testimonies from blacks who lived in the Jim Crow South and opinions from the NAACP.
Perryman said President Obama was named as a defendant not only because he is the official leader of the Democratic Party, but because of certain statements he made about his own party in his book, Dreams from My Father (see attachment). In 2009, the President was asked to issue an apology to blacks on behalf of his party, but he refused. Unlike other reparations lawsuits, this lawsuit merely asks for a public apology, but no monetary damages.
In the 40-page brief, Rev. Perryman tells the court that the Democratic Party, (the party that is quick to call the Tea Party and Republicans racist), is the same party that refuses to confess and/or acknowledge (in public and on their website) that they are the party that supported the institution that packed millions of black men, women and children in the deep dark hulls of slave ships with just barely enough food and water to keep them alive, and forced them to lie in their own urine, feces, and vomit for the duration of a long trip across the Atlantic. And after arriving in America, it was the members of their party that forced these poor souls to work from sunup to sundown for the next 70 years and never paid them one dime. And when the black victims were fortunate enough to escape, it was the Democratic Party that passed Fugitive Slave laws to return them to their brutal slave masters. When their inhumane institution of slavery was challenged by the opposing party, Democrats countered by placing threats in their political platforms (1844-1856), - threatening anyone who dared to interfere with what they called, "the sectional issue of Domestic Slavery." On May 21, 1856, they carried out their threats when they attacked their opposition, Senator Charles Sumner with a walking cane on the Senate floor and when they attacked with guns, freed blacks and abolitionists on the streets of Lawrence, Kansas. Six years later, Democrats called themselves 'Confederates" and went to war killing thousands to defend and protect their racist institution of slavery. After losing the war, they fought against constitutional amendments and civil rights legislation for blacks, and chose instead to form terrorist organizations, legislate Black Codes and Jim Crow Laws and support every landmark case that was designed to deny blacks their constitutional rights including the Slaughterhouse Case, Plessy v Ferguson, the Civil Rights Cases of 1881 to overturn the 1875 Civil Rights Act, and Brown v. the Board of Education. While many of these cases were pending, Democrats proudly adopted the name "The Party of White Supremacy" and committed every inhumane violent act known to mankind (from 1867 to 1977) to keep blacks in "their place." And to add insult to injury, after killing millions of blacks through their racist institutions, they hired powerful attorneys to keep this information from blacks and to avoid apologizing to blacks.
Perryman said, "Any organization that has such a racist history and receives 97% of the African American vote (after doing all they could to deny blacks the right to vote), should willingly apologize without being forced do so through a lawsuit. He said, "I guess they feel they have nothing to apologize for." Perryman went on to say that he is "convinced that Democrats will only apologize if the media, or the courts (with public pressure) will force them to do so. The man who authored the book: The Audacity of Hope, now has the "audacity" to refuse to apologize for his political party and their racist institutions, that took the lives of millions of his own people.
Apologies for Racism - Precedent Set
In the 40-page brief covering a period from 1792 to 2011, Perryman makes the following claims regarding past apologies for racism and racial injustices. Perryman said history reveals that an apology or reparation for blacks would not be an issue today had the Democratic President Andrew Johnson chosen to sign Senate Bill 60. Since Johnson's veto of Senate Bill 60, the door for reparations involving racial injustices remained closed for over 120 years. In 1988, Congress opened that door with the passage of the Civil Liberties Act of 1988. Under that new bill, Japanese internment victims received an apology plus $20,000 each in reparation pay. In 1993, the victims of the Rosewood, Florida Massacre received an apology and reparations from the State of Florida. On May 16, 1997, President Clinton issued an apology to the victims of the Tuskegee Experiment and paid the African American victims a total of $10,000,000 in reparations. On February 7, 2005, the 109th Congress issued Senate Resolution 39 and apologized for not enacting lynching laws to protect those who were victims of lynching. In that resolution, Congress stopped short of acknowledging that all of the lynchings took place in regions controlled by Democrats. And finally on January 20, 2007, the Executive Committee of the Democratic Party of North Carolina apologized for the 1898 riot and massacre that killed several black Republicans and drove them out of office. See attached copy of the brief.
Who is Rev. Perryman?
Rev. Perryman is the same Seattle minister who used his biblical research in 1994 to persuaded the world's two largest Christian publishers and the Encyclopedia Britannica to apologize and remove the "Curse of Ham" theory from all of their publications. The curse theory had existed for over 500 years and was used by Southern Christians and Democrats to justify slavery and their mistreatment of blacks.

I don't get it. Throughout reading this entire article all I could think of was. If there are any black people who laid in their own urine or feces on those boats and were slaves that are signing this petition then by all means cut them a check.
Sounds to me like this guy Perry wants his name in the paper. Now that rev Al Sharpton is to busy making millions working for MSNBC someone needs to step up and keep racism alive and these are just the folks for the job.
Frankly I think anyone that is willing to rehash all this bullshit should be ashamed of themselves for belittling all the progress made by so many Black AND White people in the direction of equal rights. My middle name (Buriah) comes from a well decorated soldier from the Kingsley side of our family who fought in the Union army to help bring about the emancipation proclamation. Shit I think I should get an apology for them making it seem his fight was in vein. Or what about John Brown and his two sons who were murdered in Texas for literally attempting to free some slaves. Brown thought that if he could capture the armory, knowing he had guns to fight with the slaves would come and join them in the fight. They died alone because the slaves were cowards. Why don't we get an apology from the black people for that?
And by all means anyone who feels jaded by the horrible past of America should be treated with honor and respect. and to undo the atrocities committed against those who slave owners went to Africa and purchased from (BLACK SLAVE hunters and traders) then were transported in the horrific conditions, we should give them FIRST CLASS accommodations on a ship back to Africa....Hmmm perhaps Somalia would be a good spot to drop them. They would also of course have to renounce Christianity because that was introduced to them when they were given their new names and baptized by the slave owners just before boarding the ships.
As for the blacks who realize what a great country this is and how much sacrifice people have made to reverse the mistakes of the founding fathers. Rather than hashing up the past perhaps they can work on the future and undo the alarming rate of fatherless families in the Black communities throughout the USA, Or is that everyone Else's fault as well?
FREE SCHOOLS, DUMB PEOPLE!
Obviously,
YOU CAN'T READ OR DO YOU REFUSE TO DO SO! This entire website is dedicated to the REAL BLACK HISTORY OF AMERICA! Historically speaking, every race that has been wronged by our country, has received REPARATIONS. Orientals, Jews, Native Americans, everyone but African Americans! Your logic perplexes me, as you seek to justify black suffrage in America, and the welfare system (instituted by the democrats), as a "flip of a coin" for satisfaction. If it were the Europeans, you wouldn't laugh or display your ignorance so vehemently! Yes REPARATIONS AND YES NOW!
If you would take the time and use your skills taught in elementary school, you would benefit in many ways. First, writing your rhetorical rants, would be obliterated, knowing that the truth is posted all over this website. Secondly, you would no longer judicially represent the a socialist view of history, nor stand in awe of a eugenic division of humanity. Lastly, a more logical approach to the racial prejudice suffered by blacks in this country, for more than 400 years; you would suppose a more analytic solution, by either a free secondary education or a monetary repayment, coupled with a SINCERE HEART FELT APOLOGY!
As the result of your educational level........FREE SCHOOLS, DUMB PEOPLE!
i get it
these ppl were not asking for a check. and you must be very naive to think that certain ppl ,mostly democratic politicians, arent keeping racism alive in more ways than u could think. Mostly by keeping them in poverty so they can fullfill a class warfare agenda... While in the Illinois Senate, President Barack Obama helped keep blacks corralled on the Democratic Party’s economic plantation when he provided funding for slum projects in Chicago, as was exposed in the Boston Globe article that can be found on the Internet at:http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/06/27/grim_proving_ground_for_obamas_housing_policy/
That Boston Globe article shows how Obama provided millions of tax dollars to his slum lord buddies, including now convicted felon Tony Rezko who contributed hundred of thousands of dollars to Obama’s political campaign and helped Obama buy a million-dollar house in a shady real estate deal. While in the US Senate, Obama voted against the minimum wage bill, then on the 2008 campaign trail, he brazenly told black Americans that he would raise the minimum wage if he became president.
As president, Obama put a poison pill in the Stimulus Bill that kills welfare reform, so that tax dollars can no longer be used to help the poor become self-sufficient through job training and child care assistance. Instead welfare will, once again, become a government handout that keeps poor blacks mired in generational poverty. Welfare has destroyed the black family, and Uncle Sam has replaced the father in black urban homes.
After Obama worked to end the school choice opportunity scholarship program in the District of Columbia that helps poor blacks get a better education, he produced a budget that, astonishingly, eliminates the $85 million designated for the HBCU’s (Historically Black Colleges and Universities). In typical hypocritical liberal fashion, Obama is sending his own two children to a private school, while kicking poor blacks out of that same private school and effectively sending the poor blacks back to the failing DC public school system. President Obama has put the special interest of the teachers’ unions – that want to maintain control of the school buildings – above those of poor black children. But the money belongs to the people, not the buildings.
Baptized Before Being Shipped?
Would you mind citing the evidence that backs up your contention that the Muslim or Portuguese slave traders who captured slaves, or the pagan tribal chiefs of Africa that captured their rivals then sold them and other undesirables into slavery to the Arabs & Portuguese, baptized them before they were shipped across the Atlantic?

Its about time for Truth to be known
We cannot continue to blindly give credibility and support to false ideologies and the leaders that support them. Ideologies that go against our best interest. Most black people who have studied history know that the Democrats are not looking out for our best interest indeed, they are making us SLAVES to there interests. We have the broken communities and poor education to prove it. The Klan didn't have to lynch us, by siding with the democrats, we are lynching ourselves and thanking them for it.
RE: Its about time for Truth to be known
From 1876 and for nearly the next 100 years the Republican Party turned it's back on blacks in this country. Ever heard of the Hayes Tilden Compromise.? The power of the franchise in the hands of newly freed slaves was alarming to southern whites who were Democrats indeed. The descendants of those whites now are the base of the Republican Party. They are not your friends and are only tolerating your presence because you help them move their agenda by voting Republican. I vote Democrat and I recognize that I'm choosing the lesser of two evils. It's my job to push for change within the Democratic Party and I do. You referenced blacks being Democrats' slaves: does that mean that poor whites are Republican slaves? What about the whites of Appalachia, especially in West Virginia? Let's see: they die in those coal mines all the time, yet, they support a Party that advocate that the mine owners have no regulations put on them, their wages are low, yet, they support a party that would do away with even minimum wage. Many are on welfare, yet they support a Party who has just advocated a reduction in food stamps assistance (Ryan Plan)? Could it be that being racist is more important than their own economic interests? These are the people you would be and are rubbing shoulders with.
What a fool to post before
What a fool to post before researching something.
1st, Martin Luther King was a REPUBLICAN and stated that he could NOT vote for the party (democrat) that enslaved us as a race and who continues to enslave us with provisions that do not require accountability.
2nd
A. President Johnson on a White House tape stated: ""I'll have them niggers voting Democratic for the next two hundred years."
B: President Lyndon Johnson called Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. “that [N-word] preacher” because he opposed the Viet Nam War
C: President John F. Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil Rights law as a Senator
D: President Kennedy opposed the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
E: Kennedy had the FBI investigate Dr. King on suspicion of being a communist
F:Clinton vetoed the Welfare Reform law twice before signing it, and refused to comply with a court order to have shipping companies develop an Affirmative Action Plan
G:
3rd. If you would have at least studied the facts a little before posting your swill you would have easily found this:
A. Republicans have always been known as the Anti_Slavery party.
B. REPUBLICANS PASSED the Thirteenth, Fourteenth, and Fifteenth Amendments to the U. S. Constitution granting blacks freedom, citizenship, and the right to vote. (Your really looking the fool now! But were not finished, recent events are coming!)
C. The REPUBLICANS founded the NAACP
D. The REPUBLICANS started the United Negro College Fund
E. The REPUBLICANS passed the Civil Rights Acts of 1866 and 1875 granting blacks protection from the Black Codes and prohibiting racial discrimination in public accommodations
F. President Dwight Eisenhower (Republican) sent U.S. troops to Arkansas to desegregate schools, established the Civil Rights Commission in 1958, and appointed Chief Justice Earl Warren to the U.S. Supreme Court which resulted in the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision ending school segregation?
G. President Richard Nixon instituted the first Affirmative Action program in 1969 with the Philadelphia Plan that established goals and timetables
H. President George W. Bush appointed more blacks to high-level positions than any president in history and who spent record money education, job training and health care to help black Americans prosper (SO MUCH FOR YOUR LAST 100 YEAR STATEMENT !)
Seems your post is pure BS in all ways, it also seems you are ignorant or lazy to the facts, which one is it?
Jesus said; Then you will

A public apology
As long as this lawsuit is about an apology only and not for monetary compensation, I say go forth with the lawsuit.
I get it...thank you
This is a wonderful thing you are doing, and I will pray for all of you involved with this. It wouldn't have to be done, if the Democrats didn't continuously put themselves out there, w/talking points on how they are the Saviors of the black people, and at the same time continue to state how big of racists the Republicans/conservatives/and the Tea Party are. You'd think they wouldn't want to open that door....but that is what happens when you have no shame and of course some of the Liberals are so dumb, they don't know the truth of their party. You would think with so much information out there, that most people would know the history of the Democratic party, but that is not the case. I was inspired by this, as I am by the book, "Setting the Record Staight: American History in Black and White" by David Barton and the website www.black-and-right.com "The Democrat Race Lie." It is about time the Democrats were called out for their past instead of saying Repubs are the ones that want blacks lynched today. if you repeat a lie enough, people will believe it.
May God protect and guide all those involved w/this. the Dems will not take this lying down.

What a Dumb Lawsuit
I can't believe people are getting hung up on the semantics of the word "Democrats." Anyone what has taken high school history knows that the Democratic Party of the 1870s is not the same as today's party. It all changed in the 1960s. Why do you think Reagan jumped ship?
BINGO
My exact thoughts! Anyone who knows history knows that during slavery the Democratic Party then, is basically the Republican party now. This is a dumb article and a dumb law suit that wont get anywhere.
Re: Complaint- Class Action
As an African-American Negro, whose ancestors were a part of the era of the enslavement of the Africans and the American Negroes, I cannot believe that the day has come when an African-American is being held responsible for the plight of the Africans, and the American Negroes.
I also find it very strange that these particuliar American Negroes would wait untl one of there ownkind was sitting in the seat of power before their memory, of the days of slavery were awakened. It seem as though there are many ways to make use of the race card. I call it a race card; for the following reason: if it is not a race card, then why was not such action brought against the former White leaders of the Democratic Party?
Over a span of time there has been fifteen Democratic Presidents, who were all of the White race, but its this African-American President that is being accused of bringing such suffering upon the Negro race, and being asked to make a public apology unto his own people for a work done long before his birth.
It is sad that there is a failure to understand that both of these Party's were in existence long before even I was born, and certainly long before President Obama was born, and now he is being accused of the mindset of a generation born in another time, where many came from another part of the world.
How is it that one African-American can ask another African American to repent and apologize for Acts carried out by another generation, and another race of people? To do so, is truly a new kind of injustice, and a new kind of racial mentality: One that calls for a different view of slavery and a different way of defining its actions and its purpose.
My people be angry with me if you must, call me what you will, but this I know: I have drank from fountains that said, Colored and White. I have entered resturants by way of the back doors; I have rode in the back of the Bus. I have stood in lines where White's were waited on before me; I went to a Movie Theater where I refuse to get up and sit behind the wire that separated the White section from the Negro section, long before there was a civil rights movement, or the arrest of Rosa Park.
But none of these actions moved me, because I knew it was all the results of, not racism, but racial ignorance; a disease, of which I have never been its victim. I was not a party to racial ignorance when it involved the White race, and I will not be a party to racial ignorance, now that its becoming the behavior of some of my own people. [Therefore, to accuse me of being a racist, places an undeserving stain upon my character, and should there be a public apology given, then it should be the Plaintiffs apologizing to me and to President Obama and others, regardless of their race, who also have not succumb to the disease of racially motivated Acts; nor participated in bringing hardship upon the people of color, who came before us.]
Let me close with the following: Just as God endured much pain and suffering when he sent his only Son into this sinful world to give his life for the sins of the world; so did he endure much pain and suffering to bring into this world a very special people, who would give his name praise. This, God did when he ordered the steps of our African ancestors to this land; for from the bowels of slavery, brought he forth a second creation (Psalm 102:18). God took for himself a people out of a people, just as he took Eve from the body of Adam. And here we are, in the 21st century, and still there are those who are yet ranting and raving about slavery, even to the point of asking a man of color to give a public apology for work God, himself, permitted to take place among his people of color. And last but not least; had it not been for the American enslavement of the African people, we, the African-American Negroes, would not exist.
So instead of these Plaintiffs seeking a public apology, because of slavery, they should be rejoicing , and giving God praise for the pain he endured that he might give birth to a new kind of people; a people different from all others, including our African ancestors-The African- American Negro!!
Thank you for taking the time to read my letter, and do hope it will inspire you to cast down these unchristian accusations, which comes without names of today's Democratic Party, and without factual proof of its guilt of being responsible for the illtreatments of the people of color, while being led by the African-American Barack Obama, born in 1961. God help us to let go of the past, and turn our mind and our eyes toward the future, so as not to continue wandering in this wilderness of fault finding and finger pointing.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.,
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and politics:
Source: "Dearing the Cross' by David J. Garrow:
pg 340; ' When the Republican convention chose Barry Goldwater as its presidential candidate on July 15th, King denounced the "unfortunate and disastrous" nomination. Goldwater, he said, "articulates a philosophy which gives aid comfort to the racist," and urged all supporters to vote against the Republican nominee and other Republican candidates who did not disassociate themselves from him...King told Rustin he felt compelled to support the MFDP'S (Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party) effort to get seated at the Democratic Convention. pg 357/358; 'King emphasized the danger of the Republican nominee more than one Baltimore rally that "Goldwater is a threat to freedom." He received enthusiastic reception, and after ten days of constant travel returned home to Atlanta to await the returns. 'A Republican dirty trick forced him to make a public appearance the day before the election to denounce anonymous leaflets urging write-in votes for King that were circulating in serval cities.'
'Lyndon Johnson's massive voctory pleased King deeply because the Democratic landside represented a clear repudiation of the opposition to civil rights that Republican Goldwater had voiced.' Pg 459; 'King told a series of mass meeting that registering tens of thousands of eligible black citizens could "make the Negro voter a real balance of power" in Alabama's upcoming May Democratic Primary.' Pg 540; .. the nation had to realize that over the past eighteen months' "the leaders who try to preach nonviolence and work through the democratic process have not been given enough victories."
Pg 578/579; '.. On October 3, King returned to Cleveland to encourage voters to support black Candidate Carl Stokes in the Democratic Mayoral Primary. Stokes won a solid victory and King boasted to friends that SCLC deserved the credit because it had significantly increased black registration.'Pg 601; ' That night in Grosse Point, Michigan, the first stop on a trip West, King spoke to an audience of three thousand. Outside the auditorium, three hundred right-wing pickers protested his appearance; inside King was repeatedly interrupted by hecklers shouting "Commie and Traitor," a shaken King said, " I have never received a reception on this level. It was the worst heckling I have ever encountered in all my travels."
Pg 604; ' In other remarks, King sounded a bitter note, telling one audience that " that aren't enough white persons in our country who are willing to cherish democratic principles over privilege."Pg 608; '..King volunteered that SCLC would drop its policy of no political endorsement in advance of the fall election in hope that either Robert Kennedy or Eugene McCarthy could unify the anti-Johnson forces and wrest the Democratic nomination from the President.'
COMMENT: According to Pg 147, it was not the son, but the father who was a member of the Republican Party. This can be understood from the words written after Dr. King's imprisonment in the Georgia state prison at Reidsville. [' Coretta told daddy King of Kennedy's phone call as they prepared to see Morris Abram. King, sr., was ecstatic, and said that this was enough to shift his traditional Republican presidential preference and instead vote for Kennedy, the man who had called his daughter-in-law. He told Abram the same thing while they discussed the parole possibility..']
Personal message: My dear children, this "comment" comes not from a particular Party, but from a heart that loves all of God's people, and one that has great respect and admiration for the late Dr. King, regarding the services that he gave and the sacrifice he made, in his effort to bring a better way of life to America.
And because of such admiration, I come to you by way of this "comment" not to interfere with your political choice, but to try and prevent you from becoming a continued pond in America's chess game of life. I say this because Dr. King is now being used in this chess game, as a Republican pond, that it might tap into the emotions of those who knew and loved him, as well as those who have come to know of his work, and have come to love him because of his deeds. If you have chosen to be a Republican, then continue to be a Republican; if you have chosen to be a Democrat or Independant, then continue to be a Democrat or an Idependant. Do not change because you heard that Dr. King was a Republican, but should you change, do so because it is in your heart to change or remain loyal to your chosen Party.
But what I do now, is what he cannot do for himself, and that is, make his political mindset known to the people, so that none be swayed to jump ship because of our emotional attachment to the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. But let us remove ourselves from America's chess board, and begin to look upon ourselves as no longer the ponds, to be moved by the minds of others, and begin to look upon all of God's people as being special; for truly we are special in the Lord's eyes.

The Lawsuit
Not sure where some of the confusion and negativity is here regarding the lawsuit. Do black people in this country have a right to sue the Democratic party, who for over 100 years has been the primary force behind institutionized slavery, genocide, terrorism, class warfare, and racial discrimination?
We are talking about a political party in this country that chose civil war over giving up their slaves.
We are talking about a party whose very own members founded the KKK
We are talking about a party that has members almost to this very day who are/were KK members ( Senator Byrd )
We are talking about a party that created and enforced despicable laws preventing blacks from owning land, making money and voting.
We are talking about a party who has directly and indirectly destroyed black families over and over again, the pain and misery caused beyond calculation.
Sue ? Hell yeah
The Lawsuit, etc.
The mess that has been perpetuated by the current administration has absolutely nothing to do with the color of the POTUS. It has to do with the princpals of the party he represents. For some it is unthinkable that a member of their own ethnicity would promote the plantation mentality that has been nothing less than destructive for the last 50 years. While I applaud Mr. Obama's election to POTUS (if those duplicate Dallas Cowboy voter registrations were actually valid) I do not applaud the timing. The deregulation mess that was created by Bill Clinton (not George W. Bush) and misused by every person that bought property they could ill afford can never be corrected by the Democratic Tax and Spend philosophy. Simple math. It is however, advantageous for the D-Party to place a minority in office to take the blame and then site racism to anyone who yells fowl! It is exactly what is happening. If you read the lawsuit, you will see that it does not ask for monetary reparations, only an apology. I think the apology part is unrealistic, but if it gets people to pay attention to the situation and pay attention to the profits of racism and who profits from it, then I say yeah and so should we all. If you haven't noticed the "throw away the fishing pole, I just want the free fish" mentality has crossed the color lines. And I don't think anyone is pleased with this crossover hit.
Even Martin Luther King Jr
Even Martin Luther King Jr himself was a registered republican and voted as such his whole life. The Democratic party platform made it quite clear that they were for the equality of all people just as long as they were white people. The democrats did EVERYTHING imaginable to oppress blacks Jim Crow, KKK, hangings, etc...... when the republicans in the north passed laws making these Southern Democrat forms of oppression illegal and when they sent military to the south to enforce integration policies in the schools it is then that the Democrats began another form of oppression. No longer could they continue oppression by means of physical force and intimidation..... For their own continued agenda they knew they must Oppress with a smile.... so.... they created programs..... programs that they could get blacks to vote for.... programs that would SEEM beneficial but would really be designed to guarantee continued oppression. For Example: A welfare program..... "vote for us and we will give you free money... you deserve it". Sounded good.... but here is the catch now to get this free money you and your entire household can NOT make more than 800 dollars per month (it might be less - I dont know the exact numbers) ---Thus..... noone in that household can get a full time job... nor have the desire to do so..... nor would they go to school to get a better education because that would lead to the ability to make more money and that would interfere with the handouts. So... that democratic program took away the incentive to become better productive members in society..... and assured below poverty stricken households full of black people..... and now they create programs to dumb down the education system..... to make it EASIER for more minorities to get degrees too.... only once in the job market that dumbed down education proves to be exactly that. dumbed down.......We dont need to skip 6 chapters in the book...... we need teachers with increased teaching skills and abilities...... not people with dumbed down educations to become teachers who can only teach their dumbed down versions by using yet more dumbed down strategies.....

The concern is not about what Party did what,it is the fact that no one realized that the Democratic Party had carried out such evil, against African-Americans, until an African-American was placed in the seat of power. And then all of a sudden, someone remembered that, before this President was born, Democrats committed evil against his people, and now that he is President of the United states, its his responsibility to make good all the evil done by the Democratic Party before he was born.
My question is, how many democratic Presidents have resided over this country, before this President? So why were they not ask to apologize for the evil done by the Democratic Party? Why were they not held responsible for the evil done by Democrats, during their time as Leader of the Party? Am I to believe that African-Americans who choose to be democrats, are now being asked to apologize to African-American Republicans?
If this is the results of the movement of the 60's, God help the African-Americans; for some where along the way, they forgot why Dr. King sacrificed all he had, so that African-Americans, as a whole, would have a better life.
God bless Dr.King, who was not a Republican, but Independent, and God help the African-American race to come to themselves, and know that it is not about their past, but their future, and we are all, regardless of our race, in this together; for we are all Americans, and we are all God's people.
An apology from a Democrat.
As a African-American democrat, I would like to take this time to extend a heartfelt apology to the people of the African-American race.
I am so sorry for all our ancestors endured, to build the South. I am sorry that our African-American inventors had to endure such pain and humiliation, just to provide the many things that this Country takes for granted today.
I am sorry that Harriet Tubman to put her life on the line, day and night, to help other slaves have a brighter day.
I am sorry that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, thought the African-American race worthy of his giving his all, that they might have a better life, then he had.
I am also sorry that there is an African-American man seated in the White House, but Dr. King Jr. is not here to enjoy the fruits of his labor, and African-Americans have yet to know just how blessed they are. No greater love, then a man's willingness to lay down his life for a friend, his country, his people.

THIS GARBAGE. WITH ALL THE DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENTS WE HAD IN THE PAST, THE CRACKERS DECIDE TO THROW STONES SINCE OBAMA IS THE PRESIDENT. WHAT HAPPEN WHEN CLINTON WAS IN THE SEAT? I KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. PROBLEM IS THAT OBAMA WHO YOU RACIST MOTHERFUCKER CONSIDER A NIGGER, CAN'T STAND THE FACT THAT ITS A NIGGA IN THE SEAT.
First, please try and correct your usage of words. People of color were always human.
Because the party that emancipated them, has turned into one that promotes hate, lies, and intolerance. During Lincoln's time, the Republican party was the liberal party. They were the party that pushed for freedom.
Today, the Democrat party is the party that believes in liberty.
Blacks never turned away from liberalism, Republicans did. This happened in the period after Teddy Roosevelt. Teddy Roosevelt was the last liberal Republican president, and one that many Blacks would have supported.
The Republican party turned with the advent of three Presidents that were mere puppets to the rich corporate oligarchy. These were Warren G Harding, Calvin Coolidge, and Herbert Hoover. Many historians consider these three Presidents to be among the worst America has ever had. They catered to the rich. They allowed banks to do as they pleased without government oversight. This caused the stock market crash of 1929. People borrowed money to buy securities and over leveraged themselves, (sound familiar).
Furthermore, Democratic presidents were in office during the civil rights movement. These Democrats, like JFK, used the civil rights movement to define the Democratic party as a liberal party for decades to come.
Had a Republican been in power during the civil rights movement, then I am sure that Republicans would have regained their title as the liberal party.
