Who said water issues had to be boring?

This came over the transom today from the OC Water District:

ACTOR/COMEDIAN PAUL RODRIGUEZ TO EMCEE O.C. WATER SUMMIT
California’s Water Crisis Brought to Focus in Anaheim, Friday, May 15

WHAT: California is facing a water crisis. Water supplies imported into Southern California have experienced historic cutbacks with no immediate relief in sight. Orange County residents, businesses and community leaders will engage with water utilities and legislators on possible remedies and long-term solutions this Friday, May 15 in Anaheim for the 2009 O.C. Water Summit. Attendees from across California are gathering to learn about the water supply and water quality challenges we face, what temporary measures are in place to address these issues, and possible solutions to water reliability and preserving the Bay-Delta River, California’s main source of water.

The Water Summit program (attached) promises to be one with fireworks. A.G. Kawamura, Secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, will discuss California’s withering agriculture industry with Larry Tucci of Del Monte Foods Company and Central Valley elected officials. Businesses like IBM, Disneyland Resort, St. John Knits and Sole Technology will share their challenges and water conservation lessons. California’s elected officials will pitch for your water bond votes. With assistance from the global reporting and photographs of “National Geographic,” the Victoria EPA shares how Australians are surviving a severe multi-year drought and the warning signs for California. And, exactly who and what is the “God Squad?”

The O.C. Water Summit is sponsored by the Orange County Water District Municipal Water District of Orange County, Disneyland Resort and the Orange County Business Council.

Tired of water conservation

I'm getting very tired of water conservation lessons and just so the water district knows, we are ot in a severe multi-year drought.  We just have "no growth" liberals trying to kill every new water project and their friends in the enviro-extremist movement suing to stop the water we already have.  They stop water from the north and from the Colorado for some fish and then tell people we are in a drought.  IT RAINED MORE THIS YEAR THAN AN AVERAGE YEAR!

It is the same no growth libs that stop our freeways and power plants.  Because of them, we are going to be the first American generation to pass on a lower quality of lives to our kids.  I hope they are happy.
