The substantial re-design of the site in March was the first step in this process.
Also currently the President of Delta Global Advisors and the founder of greenfaucet.com, Chip Hanlon is regularly featured in the national media for his global economic viewpoints, and he formerly served for 3 years as a contributing writer for Real Money, the subscription service from TheStreet.com.

He started his career as a research assistant on the international desk at Oppenheimer in 1993 while completing his studies of political science at UCLA.
In addition, Mr. Hanlon is the past-Editor of the Unfundamentals Market Newsletter, a current member of American Mensa, a founding investor in Red County Magazine and was on the budget task force of Bill Simon, 2002 Republican candidate for governor in the state of California. He has carried NASD Series 3, 4, 7, 8, 24, 66, 86 & 87 licenses.

This is a Surprise to No One on the Right
By Chip Hanlon | 10/27/09
Politico is shocked--shocked!--to discover that by choosing what not to report, the mainstream media might actually be exercising bias. Wow! In fact, the publication was so amazed at itself in cracking this nut that this three page stunner went up in the site's feature section. An excerpt from "What if George W. Bush had done that?:" A four-hour stop in New Orleans, on his way to a $3 million fundraiser. Snubbing the Dalai Lama.... read more »

This is No Way to Get Yourself Recruited, Newt
By Chip Hanlon | 10/26/09
Like many Republicans, I consider myself a Newt Gingrich guy, and I don't understand the animosity often exhibited toward him by many long-time D.C. Republicans, but he's not making himself look very good with this one: Newt Gingrich: Doug Hoffman Support a 'Mistake' The former Speaker missed an important memo here: electing Owens, the Democrat, would be preferable to electing Scozzafava, the RINO. Owens wouldn't be able... read more »

Hiking the Death Tax Proving Tricky for Dems
By Chip Hanlon | 10/26/09
Most Republicans believe you shouldn’t have to pay a tax just for dying. We know most Democrats, however, believe there isn’t a single tax on any good or service that’s yet high enough in this country, so when they think of a tax that’s scheduled to fall to zero, it causes them sleepless nights. Upon returning from D.C. a couple of weeks ago, I said it was a certainty that Democrats would be hiking the estate tax by... read more »

Rate of Bank Charge-Offs Surpasses Depression Levels
By Chip Hanlon | 10/26/09
From an interesting artcle over at Zero Hedge: Even as the cataclysmic events of last year fade into memory and most pundits are convinced that the government alone can push the country into prosperity, if it only wasn't for that pesky unemployment number that just refuses to cooperate, yet another comparison with the Great Depression emerges, one that shows that the current period is in fact even worse than what occurred in the years after... read more »
