Obama's toddler tale made McCain's point

Posted by: Inga Barks | 10/30/2008 9:43 PM

When Senator Obama responded to John McCain's claim that his ideas are communist, he tried a clever joke that showed his true communist heart. Obama joked that his communism goes all the way back to kindergarten when he gave half of his sandwich to a classmate and shared his toys with friends.......er.....even if Obama's story were true and not a joke, has anyone pointed out to him that the story only applies had his kindergarten teacher taken his toys and sandwhich and given it to his classmate?

Obama's losing it here ... and the reason is he does get it. He gets that the people get it. And he's lost / losing his mojo. Look at the Missouri show on Thursday night - fraction of the enthuasism from earlier (even just weeks ago) in the campaign. He now jokes about how he's being tagged as a redistributionist - including + beyond the pb&j quips. He notes + jokes that McCain is saying he (Obama) talks about redistribution and socialism. But it was Obama who started talking redistribution - first with Joe the Plumber, then reaffirming on ABC, then in 2001 interview - Americans have been hearing him - OBAMA - speaking consistently & frighteningly about redistribution. And he knows it. His pollsters know it. Rachel Maddow knows it. It's nothing that will catch on with the hypnotized masses, however ... the true believers. But the folks that are listening most intently right now that Obama needs to be listening are the independents and last minute deciders. And this messianic talk of how he's ready to change the world and that "in 5 days we will begin to totally transform this country" may not be sitting well with those who just started figuring out Obama's sham.

ALL taxes are a form of wealth redistribution. Even McCain supports taxes, so he also supports wealth-spreading. Obama and McCain disagree on the relative tax burden that should be applied to various groups, and the ways in which that revenue should be spent, but that is all. If you like the idea of public roads, public schools, public libraries, public emergency services, a national military, then taxes shouldn't scare you. We don't live in a purely capitalistic society; in fact we live under a form of social democracy, insofar as many of the things we take for granted (the aforementioned, among others) are collectively shared responsibilities (socialism).

Communism, among other things, eschews private ownership of property, land and business, and is not something either candidate advocates.

Before panicking, get the facts. Google "obama mccain tax proposals" and check out some of those links.

Anyone who thinks Obama and company haven't bought into Communist idealism needs only to get onto the Communist Party of America's home page to see their Communist Party election 2008 download http://www.cpusa.org/ .

Please also contact the Governor about UC system Universities using William Ayers textbooks for instruction. Yes - it is true! My stepdaughter is attending UC Santa Cruz and is studying to become a teacher. One of her textbooks is written by William Ayers. It's called "infiltration".

david k,
I think you make an interesting point. All taxes are some form of redistribution. Wouldn't you agree that we have come to terms with the existence (if not the morality) of some taxes? What many of us resent is the use of our money more than the taking. It is fair to expect government to take the minimum required to maintian our security and some infrastructure. But Obama promises to give the money I work TWO jobs for, and give it to someone who doesn't pay taxes at all. That isn't roads, that isn't ifrastructure. That's a thumb in my already bloodshot eye.
