Teachers Against Traditional Marriage

Posted by: Ken Mettler | 08/06/2008 8:02 AM

At a Beverly Hills fundraiser, David Sanchez, president of the California Teacher's Association (CTA), announced a contribution of $250,000 to the No on Prop 8 campaign which seeks to destroy the efforts to preserve traditional marriage.

Teachers should evaluate if they agree that their hard-earned money should go to the CTA for this purpose.  An alternative is available to teachers via the California Teachers Empowerment Network (CTEN)   www.ctenhome.org

We have so many more important things to brainwash our children over - who cares about the three "R"'s anyway...

BTW - how do you spell an "R" anyway?

Is this instance of the United States of the Teacher's Union?

Christian P. Milord wrote an excellent piece in the National section titled "E Pluribus Unum" Turned Upside Down stating in part: "Each time I open a copy of "California Educator," (magazine published by the California Teachers Association), I get a momentary feeling that I'm in Latin America. Since September 2007, CTA President David A. Sanchez has titled his monthly column in Spanish, and then he pens the monthly article in English. I wrote to the CTA about this matter several months ago, but never got a response"

Whereas A post by Craig DeLuz in the California section, titled CTA TV ads target GOP legislators with lies from the left obviously entertains the premise of " attacking Republican legislators for not agreeing to vote for the "compromise budget".

Our own thread titled The CA Teachers Assoc. Responsible Budget Solution Paradox explores the union's demagoguery.

Seems like the California Teacher’s Association us quickly becoming the union dinosaur rivaled only by the Detroit auto industry’s union. Unfortunately, like other dinosaurs, this union is bringing everyone else on the road to extinction!
