The California Congress of Republicans (CCR) whose platform is pro-abortion and anti-gun and states that their philosophy is "...not to play politics with personal religious and social issues.".
The CCR, lead by consultant Mark Abernathy, announced support of the appointment of Congressman Kevin McCarthy to the co-chair of the GOP Platform Committee as follows:
"Congressman Kevin McCarthy is a member of CCR and a long-time supporter of our mainstream GOP message. He will be a strong moderate voice on the Platform Committee."

There is no such thing as "Pro-abortion." There is "Pro-choice," which means that you don't want a Big Brother, Nanny Government to tell women what to do.
CCR is California Republicans only hope of gaining ground in the Democratic Legislature.
2muchanon - listen up...
The Republicans lost Congress due to being Democrat Lite. While many CCR types are fixated on abortion - the issues that killed us are moderate Republicans voting against budget restraint, attaching earmarks to bills IN ADDITION TO being social liberals.
It also bears mention that the Mainstreet Partnership has never attacked a Democrat that I know of. Their membership was decimated in the 2006 election for good measure.
Chris Shays - RINO (CT-04) is in the crosshairs of the Dems. Dems don't show any deference to Moderates.
If any Republican is going to get attacked the same way by a Democrat - why not support conservatives who will vote for infastructure, drilling, border security and earmark reform without waiting for a consensus to see what's popular?
Principles!
As to abernathy - when has he ever attacked a Democrat? If he spent half the energy fighting the Dems as he did Conservatives - he'd be a party-changing dynamo.
