Capitol Corridor Train Ride Discount...for SOME, not ALL!
By Allen Wilson | 06/25/09 | 07:29 PM EDT | 0 Comments
It has been brought to my attention that the Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority (CCJPA) with day-to-day management support from San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) is offering 25% train discount "Ride for Pride" for passengers attending the upcoming Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Parade event this weekend in San Francisco.
You can see the Capitol Corridor Press Release here, which is no joke.
Question to the CCJPA: Has the rail agency offered discounts to other groups in the past? If not, When will there be train ride discounts for passengers attending future Tea Parties, Walk for Life and other "Civil Rights" gatherings?
We need to acknowledge that Life and Liberty are Civil Rights as well!
How much will the discount cost the authority and who will be picking up the tab?
It will be interesting to hear and see who dropped the ball on this one.
