Rep. Joe Wilson embarrassed the Republicans during the president's speech. Honesty is the new black, but his outburst was like wearing white shoes after Labor Day: It shouldn't have been done.

Dear Average Jane,
Respectfully Ms., according to Wikipedia, Rep. Joe Wilson was born on July 31, 1947 (17 days after me, the wippersnapper ! ) in Charleston, South Carolina. That would mean he is not from anywhere BUT South Carolina. Possibly you are correct in saying that Joe should not have shouted those words, never mind the truth in them. But to infer that Joe has EMBARRASSED the REPUBLICAN Party, well I must say it's ABOUT DAMNED TIME SOMEONE DID !! Please pardon my French, I couldn't find a better way to say that which NEEDED TO BE SAID !! In general the Republican Party hasn't the testicular fortitude, to do more than whine and worry about offending someone, ANYONE! But even a President, who acts like Karl Marx was his only influence while growing up, can expect some respect. Poor Old Republican Party... are you upset? TOUGH... GET OVER IT !! Grow a backbone - stand up to the lying Democrat Party and say enough is enough!! The last time the Republican Party showed guts was when they ran out "The Contract With America". They should try it again, with current problems of course. But then that would require a modicum of Guts, Spirit, Will, and even Honesty... oops, maybe I'm hoping for too much.
Sorry I started to rant. Back to Joe Wilson's statement. He said it. He apologized to the Presidentfor it. And anybody else who wants an apology can go pound sand, especially Republicans.
My Regards Average Jane,
Paul Wilson - of Greenville, S.C. (but born in Sumter, S.C. and probably not related to Joe)
