AD05 Update - Andy "Prop 8" Pugno makes curious robocall... Plus 3rd Candidate Entering Race

By Sgt. York | 09/11/09

I receive a lot of tips - this one is really good, because it included an MP5 and a script. This is a robocall from Andy Pugno - I have one major problem with it I will raise after the script. Please Listen Here “Hello, this is Andy Pugno chief counsel for Prop 8 the traditional marriage amendment. Here in my local community an advocate for same-sex marriage is running for the state assembly, we must do whatever it takes to stop them... read more »

Tom McClintock on Video with strong support of Rick Keene (SD-04 Update)

By Sgt. York | 09/11/09

It got back to this blogger that there were some people who disputed the previous post I made about Tom McClintock's strong support of Rick Keene. Take a look at this - Hat Tip Angelo Androtti and www.conservativerule.com Starting at 2:37 through about 3:20 - McClintock makes 100% clear and strong comments about his support of Rick Keene. They include the "I will do everything in my power to help Rick Keene" Also, note that... read more »

Debate Watch - 9/10 9AM KGO Radio in SF (Whitman is a No Show)

By Sgt. York | 09/10/09

This will be a consistent theme - the Van Whitman scandal was made far worse by the lack of information and the deliberate attempts by the Whitman campaign to sequester her. Pundits like myself are left with scant little about how she really feels about anything. It would seem that she is hding something and is emulating the campaign of Arnold. Today's debate gets added to the Duck list. FYI - KGO is a 50,000 watt top-rated station in San... read more »

The Best U-Tube on Town Hall Meetings I Have Ever Seen (Stars McClintock)

By Sgt. York | 09/07/09

This U-Tube video is excellent and very well produced despite the difficulties in collecting the sound from the participants. The significance of this video is that Tom McClintock lost Nevada County by 16% (and a lot of ACORN attention was focused there as well) - but here he is in yet another appearance in Nevada County bringing the fire. Watch here - be careful to note the Move-On plants in the audience and the questions asked. This... read more »

NorCal Races Update - AD05 / SD04 Update

By Sgt. York | 09/07/09

For the benefit of you down south - we have a few races of our own going on up here... Everyone knows about CD10 - Republican Harmer VS John Garamendi. I predict Garamendi by 8-10 and Arnold appointing Abel Maldonado to the LG chair as a reward for his loyal service in the State Senate. AD05- the seat currently held by Roger Niello. Niello has been spared a recall effort because he is a lame-duck. The same can not be said about Anthony... read more »

The Mess on the "Van Whitman" story is spreading - Spot the outright lie as Whitman spins...

By Sgt. York | 09/05/09

Meg Whitman's praising Van Jones - would be like me saying what a great guy Saul Alinsky is and how right on he is. Or kind of like asking Jack the Ripper to baby sit... Politico picked it up Thursday and started the firestorm, Michelle Malkin blogged on it and now the Van Whitman Macaca moment is starting to circulate. Now the SF Chron Politics Blog posted about what a big non-issue this was (all the while it is exploding nationally)... read more »

Whitman's Macaca Moment Goes National

By Sgt. York | 09/04/09

Remember Whitman Principle Number One? Campaign Nationally? It has now backfired - I will let the Politico Article speak for itself. And of course more of Van Jones' wisdom is coming out - here he is imitating George W. Bush on Crack. read more »

Meg Whitman's Bad Week - Her Avoidance Issues Are Catching Up? Or is it a Bad Case of SKYPE?

By Sgt. York | 09/02/09

Whitman went to Santa Barbara to speak to a small gathering on Tuesday 9/1/2009. There was a problem - a preceptive reporter that started the story with this paragraph: Preaching to the choir, Meg Whitman dazzled an audience of Santa Barbara Republicans this week, promising that if elected governor she would “run state government more like a business.” Whitman Principle Number 2 - Script it. But the real meat of the article was... read more »

Crisis Management - What does the Auburn Wildfire Suggest About Future Governor Steve Poizner?

By Sgt. York | 08/31/09

(Hat tip to a buddy for emailing me this picture) Here he is, in my backyard. Several of my neighbors in Auburn lost their homes last night and he has been dispatched to the scene of the disaster. Poizner. Yes, that Steve Poizner, the guy I beat the mess out of when he first ran to be insurance commissioner. Poizner - that insurance commissioner that cut fees (My Licenses went from $320 down to $272 each) and shrunk the insane... read more »

SD04 Update - McClintock comes out publicly in support for Rick Keene at Placer GOP BBQ

By Sgt. York | 08/29/09

With over 350 people in attendance on a hot summer day - the big news was not the excellent stump speech by Craig De Luz (shameless plug) or the passion and re-invigoration that the Placer County GOP is experiencing as our registration numbers have pushed back past 50% (and this is before the fraud cleanup begins)... At the end of the program, Tom McClintock was speaking and related some anecdotes about some of the best leaders he worked with... read more »
