Jerry Brown Files a Lawsuit on "Behalf of Small Business Owners"...

By Sgt. York | 10/09/09

IF you own a business - you know what I am referring to. The Department of Compliance, Business Filings Division, Corporate Filings Division... It seems now, right in the midst of his Gubenatorial Campaign, Jerry Brown is aggrivated. I have been getting these solicitations for about four Years. The Atty. General was too busy suing to stop development and trying to sabotage Prop 8 to care. But hey, even the elder statesman of insane... read more »

Assemblymember Dan Logue Makes Waves - Leads Effort to Daylight Job Losses and Cost of Regulation

By Sgt. York | 10/08/09

For those of you scoring in Southern California - Logue is from AD-03. The North State is important to people south of the Kern DMZ as what happens up here affects your water prices and food prices. Some Counties have unemployment over 40% because of the Delta Smelt and the Democrats who are paralyzed in fear of the Enviros. Notice also that there are no Southern California legislators mentioned in the below - I wish some of our friends down... read more »

How about a break from AD72? NorCal Race Update

By Sgt. York | 10/07/09

I know my Republican friends south of the Kern Parallel are engrossed in the race to replace Assemblyman Spanky. We have a whole bunch of stuff jumping off in Norcal - Facebook is a great resource to look at campaign info without filling your inbox. CD05 - It looks like a local school district is threatening Paul Smith who wants to have a shadow Town hall meeting outside the School Gym where Doris Matsui is having hers. There must be some... read more »

Calbuzz Blog Issues Humorous Anecdote RE: Whitman

By Sgt. York | 10/07/09

I am still holding my sore neck. The entire blog post is linked here for attribution. The portion about Whitman is pasted below - even Whitman's people can find humor in this...   As the eMeg turns: The funniest and best written second day story on Meg Whitman’s belated letter assailing the SacBee’s no-vote probe comes from comedy writer Chris Kelly over at Huffpost. Casting eMeg as “Multipersonality Meg” ... read more »

Red State Blog Slams Whitman

By Sgt. York | 10/06/09

Meg Whitman Showed Little Interest in Politics until Barbara Boxer Came Along Posted by Leon H. Wolf (Profile) Read the post here in its' entirety, it makes a really good point. I am personally wondering why the GOP Leadership is up in arms defending a liberal like Whitman when Conservatives have been beaten like rag dolls for years by the Sacramento Bee? It has to give you pause... As to Leon's post - the theme raises a huge... read more »

The Establishment Helps Meg Whitman Flip Her Flops

By Sgt. York | 10/06/09

I’ve got whiplash – as the Stories Mount, do we finally see leadership! WOW! Those of us in the North state have to pinch ourselves. We have grown accustomed to seeing Republicans getting tarred and feathered in the Sacramento Bee. Now, some in the GOP establishment – you know the folks that brought us Arnold are up in arms over a recent Sacramento Bee story about Meg Whitman and her many flip-flops over her voting... read more »

Tomorrow's LA Times Today: The Arrogance May be Whitman's

By Sgt. York | 10/04/09

The premise of tomorrow's George Skelton's column is solid - it states that Whitman doesn't know what she's talking about. One of the more damning and insulting words in the family dictionary is "arrogant." It's normally used behind the subject's back. In public, it should be deployed guardedly, even by a politician. Generally, when someone tosses around that adjective, the hurler had better be on solid ground and not living in a... read more »

4th SD Update - LaMalfa MIA at California GOP Convention

By Sgt. York | 10/03/09

Sunday - there were 5 large banners in the main convention hall - three from major sponsors and two from camapigns. Steve Poizner for Governor and Rick Keene for Senate. It was a fitting end for a weekend dominated by Rick Keene (from the perspective of the North State) It with addressing the YRFC and the County Chairman's Association. Feedback this blogger received indicated that Rick was concise and on a solidly conservative... read more »

A tale of two KCRA3 Interviews

By Sgt. York | 10/03/09

Meg Whitman talks about being disengaged from the process and "Like many Americans I had a Job and a Family"... In the course of explaining herself, she called her behavior atrocious. Too Bad she doesn't understand that many Americans with jobs and families registered to vote. In the course of blaming her family - she has demeaned Mothers who work, take care of their families and still find time to vote. Tens of Millions do it every... read more »

FoxandHounds Proves Prophetic - Dan Walters Slams Whitman

By Sgt. York | 10/02/09

I decided to pick these two articles out of the literally dozens of articles following Meg Whitman's CRP Convention disaster where she had a meltdown in a press conference. This was in Palm Springs, so maybe the temperature contributed. Fox and Hounds was prophetic: Channel 3 - features Whitman groveling over her "Atrocious" voting record on 9/30. Previously, The author from that Fox and Hounds blog wrote on... read more »
