AG Holder equates Anti-Semitism with Muslim Discrimination to justify “hate crime legislation”

Attorney General Eric Holder speaking at an Anti-Defamation League dinner in Las Vegas decried anti-Semitism and put it in the same league at anti-Muslim attitudes in America.  According to a Jerusalem Post report Holder said that the prevalence of religious bigotry of Jews and Muslims were reasons for Congressional passage of ‘hate crimes’ legislation.  Note the parallels Holder drew in his remarks at the ADL Las Vegas event:

"The stubborn persistence of anti-Semitism saddens me - for it undeniably still exists. We deny this at our peril," he said. "Whether in a casual joke made in private when the speaker thinks no Jewish person is listening, or in shocking public acts of violence, its heartlessness and ugliness should scald the conscience of every American."

Holder, speaking in Las Vegas, pointed out that religiously motivated attacks are the second most-common category of hate crimes following race-based incidents.

According to Holder, some 7,500 hate crimes take place in America each year, a number that he labeled "completely unacceptable" but at least stagnant since the 1990s. But he noted that that trend has not held for the Muslim community.

"Crimes against Muslims and those perceived to be Muslim have escalated dramatically since September 11th," he said, adding that many Muslims also feel "isolated and discriminated against by law enforcement

While we decry anti-Semitism, anti-Gay behavior and  racial hatred, we believe that equating these noxious behaviors with alleged discrimination against Muslims may be dangerously close to condoning blasphemy doctrine under Islamic Sharia Law. Sharia Law that Muslim Brotherhood fronts in America are promoting to supplant the US Constitution.  We are not condoning hatred towards Muslims as persons.  We are opposed to the hate-filled doctrine of the Quranic canon towards, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians, gays, lesbians, and especially apostates from Islam-the latter subject to death fatwas, even here in America.  In our view, AG Holder and the leaders of the ADL had best be concerned about falling into the trap of moral equivalency that could ultimately lead to adoption of hate crime legislation at the national level. That could be the literal camel’s nose under the tent of Sharia muzzling Free Speech guarantees under our First Amendment criminalizing any criticism of Islamic beliefs, especially hatred towards unbelievers, us.   If that is what the ADL is seeking then they have become unwitting dhimmis insinuating Sharia law in America under the guise of “hate crimes.”
