The Republican Party of Orange County (RPOC) Ethics Committee was supposed to report the findings of a complaint filed by Linda Ackerman against Chris Norby by last Wednesday night or Thursday at the latest.

However, as of this hour no official Press Release was sent out the RPOC on the decision by the Ethics Committee and remarks by Chairman Scott Baugh regarding the situation.

Though, it was interesting tonight that I have just received this Press Release from Linda Ackerman Campaign for Assembly:

Norby Campaign Violates Standard of Ethics
Admonished by Republican Party

The Chris Norby for Assembly 2010 campaign was found by the Republican Party of Orange County of having violated the “Statement of the Standards for Ethics of Campaigning” for misleading voters in his direct mail campaign.

Last week, the Republican Party of Orange County’s Ethics Committee heard a complaint by the Ackerman campaign as well as five counter complaints by the Norby campaign. The Norby campaign was found to have violated the standard while no ethical violations were found in the counter charges.

“It should not be a surprise to anyone in North Orange County that Norby was found to have engaged in unethical behavior,” said former Assemblywoman Lynn Daucher.  “This is something we have come to expect from him.”

The provision that Norby violated is Section 5 of the Ethics agreement, which states: “Candidates shall not misrepresent, distort or falsify any facts, views, or stated record of any opponent, or quote opponents out of proper context, and shall condemn the use of any campaign material or statements which do so."

This ethics violation is a continued pattern of bad behavior by Norby that includes sexual harassment, misuse of campaign funds, supporting and accepting pay raises, ethical violations, and general conduct not appropriate for an elected official.

This is Bulls***

This is the biggest pile of manure I've seen during my short tenure so far on the Central Committee.

This does raise eyebrows.

This does raise eyebrows. What exactly was he supposed to have said in his mailer that was in violation? Some additional info on this is in order... if it's all a bunch of insider nonsense, it seems like a big opportunity for the Norby camp, actually.

Daucher is a RINO

Gee, what a surprise that an extreme RINO like Daucher is attacking Conservative Chris Norby.  Rank and file Republican voters are fed up with the incestuous behavior of Sacramento insiders like Daucher and Baugh.  They are voting to reclaim our party's principles by electing Chris Norby to the State Assembly!

Changes? Really?

As you can see Alan, despite Big Scot Baugh's rah rah red meat speech at the last meeting, nothing has changed at the OC GOP. Baugh and crew hand pick an "Ethics Committee" and make the findings they want for their business interests. Earth to Blue Haired Republican Ladies, your "leaders" will have you volunteer to staff O.C. Fair booths, and lick envelopes, and give $25 from your Social Security check each year in fees, but their only concern is keeping the Mega Lobbyiing contracts which bring in millions. Check the doner lists for sweet little Linda Ackerman. They don't give tens of thousands of dollars out of the goodness of thier hearts!
