I'll be live blogging the action here at the CRA endorsing convention for AD72.  I'll put up updates on this post.  Stay tuned.

The meeting started at 7:17 PM.

There are 18 delegates present from 4 CRA units (Anaheim, Fullerton, Orange-Villa Park, and Yorba Ranch).  It will take 12 votes to gain an endorsement (unless 2 people abstain, then it will only take 11).

UPDATE (7:55 PM): 1st round of endorsement votes completed.  For some strange reason, they refuse to announce the vote totals.  We do know no one has achieved the necessary 12 votes.  On to Round 2!  (There will be a maximum of 3 rounds.)

UPDATE (8:07 PM): 2nd round of endorsement votes completed.  It's a tie!  9 votes each for Linda Ackerman and Chris Norby.  On to Round 3!  Can anyone swing over the three votes?  Does either camp regret not getting more of their voters named delegates?

UPDATE (8:13 PM): They've announced what the vote from the 1st round was: 10 for Linda Ackerman and 8 for Chris Norby.  Norby managed to gain one of Ackerman's votes in the 2nd round to tie it up.

UPDATE (8:22 PM): It's over.  No one will be endorsed by CRA.  The final round vote was 9 for Norby, 8 for Ackerman, and 1 ballot not cast.

 Thanks Chris for coming to

Thanks Chris for coming to our endorsing convention and also reporting on it.

Just for everyone's FYI: Candidate Richard Faher telephoned me prior to the convention and stated that he would not be appearing as he had a family obligation.  He did not receive any votes from the delegates tonight.
