This came over the transom today from the Jerry Amante for Assembly campaign:
Jerry Amante Picks Up More Local Endorsements
TUSTIN, CA -- Republican Assembly candidate Jerry Amante has gained the endorsements of Laguna Beach Mayor Elizabeth Pearson and Aliso Viejo Mayor Pro Tem Carmen Cave.
"I have worked with Jerry for many years and know how dedicated he is to our community," said Mayor Pro Tem Cave. "His knowledge and experience in local government and regional organizations make him the best choice to represent us in Sacramento."
In addition to Mayor Pearson and Mayor Pro Tem Cave, Amante is endorsed by U.S. Representative John Campbell, who represents Laguna Beach and Aliso Viejo in Congress, and Senators Mimi Walters and Tom Harman, who represent Aliso Viejo and Laguna Beach, respectively, in the State Senate.
Jerry Amante is the Mayor of Tustin and the leading candidate for Assembly in the 70th district, where incumbent Chuck DeVore is termed out. The district includes Newport Beach as well as Aliso Viejo, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest and Tustin.
A businessman and local Republican leader, Jerry Amante was elected to the Tustin City Council in 2004 and quickly became a conservative leader on many issues important to his city and the 70th Assembly District.

Jerry is a League of Cities, big-government guy who is very well liked by other local elected officials.
Byt, this isn't a race for Class President.
This is a race for conservative ideals like limited government and family values; and Jerry is no limited government representative!
I agree with Mike on this one. I worry about the candidates that are well liked by the League of Cities Big Gov people. They take their orders from the League of Cities Mother Ship and conservative they are not!
