I don't have a digital copy of the press release yet, but my paper copy shows Linda Ackerman has been endorsed by 80% of the Senate Republican Caucus for AD-72 with endorsements from Senate Republican Leader Dennis Hollingsworth as well as Senators Mark Wyland, Mimi Walters, Bob Huff, Bob Dutton, George Runner, Sam Aanestad, John J. Benoit, Abel Maldonado, Dave Cogdill, Tony Strickland, and Roy Ashburn. She is also endorsed by former Senate Republican Leader Jim Brulte and former Senators Marian Bergeson, Jim Battin, and Bob Margett.
Huff is quoted in the release: "Linda Ackerman is an experienced leader who has proven her dedication to the community time and time again. I am proud to support her camaign for State Assembly because I know she will be ready to lead on the issues our state faces on day one after being elected."
Huff and Walters each represent 41% of AD-72's voters in the Senate while Democrat Lou Correa represents the remaining 18%.
The only current Republican Senators who have not endorsed Ackerman at this point are Dave Cox of Sacramento, Jeff Denham of Merced, and curiously, Tom Harman of Huntington Beach. However, none of the three have endorsed anyone else in this race either.

All of the politicians endorsed Cynthia Coad in 2002 and Norby still won. Looks like history will repeat itself.
Sacramento politicians are the last endorsements she sould be touting. Her team does not seem to have a clue.
Interesting that budget busting, tax-hiking RINO Republicans Ashburn and Maldanado are endorsing Ackerman. Plus Huff just got busted in the newspapers for junketeering abuse! These are not endorsements I'd want to brag about!
Dick Ackerman broke ranks with Republicans to vote with Democrats for the unsustainable spending and budget gimmicks that created the state's fiscal crisis. Cogdill and Ashburn voted with Democrats to raise taxes on struggling Californians. Need I say more?
Ackerman and his ilk should not be in politics. They hurt the Republican party and are turn coats. Ackerman is arrogant and obnoxious, Ashburn and Cogdill and their turn coat buddies--no different. The GOP needs new blood that is true. Just take a look at the liberal minded nonsense lobby-enduced, campaign-donation-influenced bills Ackerman endorsed, that should be enough to keep this guy OUT. Just try calling his office some time and pay close attention to the dodge job his staff has been trained to say on the phone. Nobody knows nothin' - that's how he conducts business as usual.
