5th Floor Watch: Mario Mainero Submits Resignation
By Matthew Cunningham | 06/30/09 | 11:16 PM EDT | 1 Comment
Mario Mainero, Sup. John Moorlach's chief of staff, submitted his resignation this afternoon.
He e-mailed this resignation message to his fellow chiefs-of-staff just before noon today:
Gentlemen:
At the urging of my wife and family, I have tendered my resignation as Chief of Staff to Supervisor Moorlach. It will take effect on July 31, 2009. I am returning to full-time teaching as a Professor at Chapman Law School, further developing and administering the bar preparation program, and teaching several classes.
Very truly yours,
Prof. Mario Mainero
Chief of Staff
Supervisor John M.W. Moorlach
Orange County Board of Supervisors
Second District
It's my understanding this is not the first time Mario has submitted his resignation, but this may be the time it sticks.

About time that left leaning Law Professor moved on. I never understood how Moorlach, who claims to be a conservative, kept someone as COS who clearly had a liberal agenda and used his position to move that liberal agenda forward.
